Sex Education Learning The Truth (Part 2 of 3)

Why teenagers should have sex education
Author: reeny
The question of whether schools should offer sex education to their students and how these lessons should have been a controversy for decades. It always seems open disputes. In 1994, Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders in the United States, was sacked for saying that it is essential that students be taught about of masturbation as part of sex education. At that time, Bill Clinton and conservative Republicans running the country, who believe strongly in protecting children from sex talk of corruption. Of course, Clinton's own sex life with Monika Lewinsky flashes through securities in the newspapers, television and the Internet, nothing is has hidden from anyone and any kind of sexual content has become available to all (Irvine, 2002). Internet has proved an important catalyst in the dissemination of material sexual violence, mainly due to lack of control over their content. Today, the sexual content of children are multiple ways through the media, where magazines, books, television, movies and songs, in addition, sexual material.
Children today are exposed to talk about sex. If that is not made available to refined through sex education in schools is likely to face the appearance of bulk and elsewhere obscene. Sexuality must be discussed openly because it determines both our lives. Children should be educated and prepared for the hormonal changes, which is their teenage years and how they can not experience emotions (Gale, 2005). With sex education, young people better understand the reasons and causes of fluctuations in their emotions and desires (Harrison, 2000). Appreciate that always confident with the knowledge and most importantly, be aware of potential risks and consequences, allowing more healthy and wise decisions regarding their sexuality.
SIECUS (Sex Information and Education Council of the United States) was founded in 1964, fighting for years people are not willing to address. The foundation was founded by Mary Calderone, who had a goal of his life to the people "tell the sex" (Irvine, 2002, p. 17). "Open discussion of sexuality to sexual socially responsible" is the primary basis for the monitoring of SIECUS (Irvine, 2002). However, this is difficult because people are reluctant. Many confuse it with sexual education classes to promote abstinence. The foundation supports abstinence but at the same time cree in "sexual achievement for all" (Irvine, 2002, p.18). These are not traditional and religious background because of limitations in the way that leads to guilt and shame of sexual activity. In the early sixties, there was only sex education. It said that the walls of the bathroom were then the most illuminating books in time. Books in the mid-sixties, has become a bit less restrictive and is now in the dating and function behavior between the sexes "(Irvine, 2002). Some authors have begun to talk about sex pleasure in his books, with the intention of informing young people, however, avoid discussing issues such as masturbation, sex before marriage and homosexuality. These issues create controversy (Irvine, 2002). The youth of the country has progressed in all other areas. Experimented with LSD, protested against the Vietnam War and marched in civil rights demonstrations. The country has undergone changes social and sex educators in the time to put an enormous effort to keep quiet about sex, but were unable to stop the sexual revolution that followed (Irvine, 2002).
Sex before marriage is even more rare among the younger generation and rebellious. The rate of single pregnant women have risen. Bitterness Women on welfare have begun discussions about whether sex education should be strengthened. On abortion, which was considered a major and one of the greatest crimes, is the only option for unmarried women (Irvine, 2002). It has not been treated with professionalism and sanitation loss of the art, and can sometimes be fatal. The pill was introduced in 1960, but young people have remained ignorant due to the weakness of the sex talk. Black women who are alone have been considered as loads and white unmarried pregnant women were considered as "species in the state of mind" (Irvine, 2002). Gradually, they face the openly gay world, expressing its "queer" and sexuality, were lower. The nation began to divide into groups, people are not ready to understand each other rather many made an effort in itself, showing that the "good" by dressing conservatively. Gradually, these magazines and the United States Playboy magazine has been published lesbians (Irvine, 2002). The new generation has changed the face of youth sexuality and the older generation was forced to accept. However, although young have changed the concepts of sex, were unaware of the consequences such as STDs and demolition nerve stress of pregnancy and addiction Sex. It is vitally important to be educated by them to take control of their sexuality.
In the world today, the media have the greatest influence evident in children and adolescents, they tend to imitate or repeat what they see in magazines, television or what they hear in the songs. Sections such as "What everyone is in bed, which was published in June 2005 glamor, are used. They are being made to attract customers and people in general destination who are not familiar with the content (Plante, 2006). Some buy for entertainment and others use it as a source of education. The content of article, may or may not be reliable, it could be true, or it could be just what appeals to buyers, but those considerations are sufficient to attract questionable spirits. The ads also imply a level of sexuality. For example, the back of a nude woman is used to promote the fragrance. In any genre films sex scenes are shown. In the songs, especially RnB and rap lyrics can be very detailed, sometimes vulgar. The Internet is said to be responsible for distributing 90% of child pornography accessible to all. According to the BBC News Technology million 1% of the links offered by Google and Yahoo GeoCities to pornographic material.
After the increase in sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS, in particular, the institutions realized the importance of education sex while many conservatives believed that abstinence was an option. Without education, children are vulnerable to the murderers faits''potentiellement''(Gale, 2005, p. 10). The average child today is exposed to sexual images, the images in magazines, in television images, words in songs and, of course, of his companions. With that, they become sexually active at a much earlier age and are now trapped in the media of the diseases Sexually transmitted viscous. In 2005, according to the Centers for Disease Control of the Kaiser Family Foundation, 65% of sexually transmitted infections are performed by persons under 24 (Gale, 2005). It is now much debate on how to teach students. The main concern seems to be the rapid spread sexually transmitted diseases sex many educators emphasize the risks when we decided to have sex and contraception. Another serious problem is that adolescents tend to be very curious and desire to try things they have not before, so in general seem to have a significant amount of interest the subject of "sex." They have a tendency to develop a myriad of questions and these questions remain unanswered, to take action themselves to solve puzzles. Moreover, they rebel and say "only say no "will not work.
Sexuality is innate and natural. Talking about sex should not be taboo. It is human nature to want sex after a certain age. To avoid the inconvenience and discomfort, it is better to know and be informed about the procedure. For decades we have seen the consequences of not considering the question of imposing abstinence and youth do not provide enough information. It is important for them to realize what is in their environment through the media and peers. It is essential for them to acknowledge their own sexuality, are Hêtres / homosexual? They have to know the changes they experience during the years of puberty and why a particular way of reacting to things. They should be well aware of the possible consequences of the same sex. That should be discussed with the comfort of knowing that you are trustworthy and are supposed to act responsibly.
